Today, Friday, 14 November 2025, the Democratic Alliance (DA) Gauteng will hold a press briefing ahead of voting in the motion of no confidence against Premier Panyaza Lesufi to provide an update on the latest developments.
The motion tabled by the DA follows Lesufi’s failure to provide effective governance, create jobs, ensure safety, and promote economic opportunities.
The DA approaches the vote on this motion with confidence, as we formally represent the collective dissatisfaction of both the political parties in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) and the people of Gauteng, who have experienced a decline in service delivery under Lesufi’s leadership.
The press briefing will be led by Solly Msimanga MPL, DA Gauteng Leader of the Official Opposition and the DA Gauteng Members of the GPL.
The media is invited to attend, and there will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
