Today, Wednesday, 4 June 2025, the Democratic Alliance (DA) Gauteng Shadow MEC for Roads, Transport, and Logistics, Evert Du Plessis MPL, will conduct an oversight inspection at the R563 road in Krugersdorp. Sinkholes plague this provincial road, endangering the lives of motorists.
DA Gauteng has received numerous complaints from motorists and residents of Krugersdorp regarding the poor state of the R563 road. We will assess the road to determine the extent of the problem and engage with nearby residents to understand their impact.
The media is invited and there will be an opportunity for photographs and interviews.
